Houston & Austin TV job moves

Rounding up TV job moves from Houston and Austin

Heather Kovar
Emmy award-winning KVUE reporter Heather Kovar has left Austin after two years to anchor the new weekend morning show for WTEN NEWS10 Albany. According to her bio, Kovar came to KVUE after working as a freelance CBS correspondent in London. Before that she anchored mornings for News 12 Connecticut. She was born in Houston.

Rick Gevers reports Kathy Williams resigned from her news director position at WTLV/WJXX Jacksonville after almost two years. She previously worked as news director at Fox 26 KRIV, then assistant ND at KPRC 2.

KTRK abc13's Michael King as left his 5am TV producer seat for one in the station's web department.

KTRK abc13 special projects producer Justin Sternberg has left the ABC owned station to work as an Internal Communications Specialist at Direct Energy.

After five years, KHOU 11 web producer Nakia Cooper leaves the new Gannett station to be senior producer for Click2Houston at KPRC.

As I've said before, I'm not clairvoyant. Please let me know of any other personnel changes hitting the Houston and Texas media scene.
