When I worked at KTRK, I really liked putting classic channel 13 video on its website in a thematic collection. Once I did an entire section on old Astroworld footage. It was a big hit with the viewers.
That's why I got excited how WFAA did the same thing on YouTube with its old People show from the late 70s. Let's travel back to June 14, 1978 when host Michael Brown (not the former Houston hand surgeon) reluctantly did a disco tribute complete with Dallas Playboy club dancers. Brown even implores the audience to not switch the channel to Phil Donahue.
HERE IS THE REST:
People Show Disco Part 3
People Show Part 4
Just to keep the illusion of my manhood up, while I was writing this post, I was listening to Metallica - Leper Messiah (Live - Shanghai, China). The band even messes up at the beginning of the concert performance. Don't worry, it's still good.
