Tatano, aka The Grape, writes 'Wing Girl'

TV journalist gets signed by major book publisher: Wing Girl

Randy Tatano, aka The Grape, aka Nic Tatano has been been a television news reporter, anchor, network field producer, blogger and author. In fact I've written about Tatano as both a blogger (he gives excellent insight into TV news) and an author (see his books below).

Now Tatano has really scored. He just signed a deal with HarperCollins to publish three romantic comedies, the first of which is Wing Girl: HarperImpulse RomCom
. It will be published under the company's digital first imprint, HarperImpulse.

"I've always considered myself a writer first, and I think that's why I've had such a long career in the news business," Tatano said in a statement. "But having a major
publisher like HarperCollins pick up my novels is a dream come true. Fiction is more fun than television news because you don't have to worry about those
pesky things called facts."

Wing Girl is the story of Belinda Carson, New York City's best investigative reporter who is clueless when it comes to social skills. She ends up inadvertently "taking one for the team" when out on the town; repelling men who are later picked up by her friends. Hence the nickname, Wing Girl.

"I’m thrilled that Nic Tatano has chosen to publish with HarperImpulse," said Kimberly Young, Publishing Director of Women's Fiction at HarperCollins. "Wing Girl is everything a RomCom should be – in Nic’s words the heroine is sharp enough to slice a stale bagel and so is this book! It’s pure New York snark with a dash of Sex in the City fun."

Wing Girl is available in ebook form from Amazon, Barnes&Noble, iTunes, Google Play, and just about every Internet book retailer. Print versions will be available at a later date.
