Fox Television Stations has confirmed to me that Kane's last day at Fox 26 is November 16th. The TV company gave me no reason for her departure, but with an upcoming wedding, we can guess that's playing a major part.
"We've been together 5.5 years, half of that has been long distance," Kane told mikemcguff.com a few months ago. "Tom lives up north, but we've been able to make it work. We see each other every two weeks. Talk about a lot of traveling! I'm so tired of getting on planes unless it's for vacation."
Kristin came to KRIV from WSFL in Miami in 2010 where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor. According to her bio, Kane also worked at WICU/WSEE in Erie, PA. She is a graduate of Columbia University in NYC.
Local TV aficionados will know that Kane won the CBS Houston's Hottie Media Babe tournament two years in a row.
As I blogged before, Kristin and fiance Tom will be married later next year at the Aldrich Mansion just outside of Newport, Rhode Island. It's the mansion featured in the movie Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins.
Kane was travelling when I contacted her, but tells me she will be posting more info about her move from Fox 26 soon.
