97.1 The Eagle KEGL-FM and Premiere Networks announced today that Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx will move to mornings, effective Monday, May 7, 2012. Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx will broadcast a customized show for Dallas – Ft. Worth listeners weekday mornings from 6-10:00 a.m.
Host Nikki Sixx, who joined The Eagle’s lineup for the launch of Sixx Sense in February 2010, will now add Morning Show Host to his list of credits. Sixx is the founder, bass player and songwriter for Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M., two-time New York Times best-selling author of The Heroin Diaries and This Is Gonna Hurt, national radio personality, clothing designer, philanthropist and photographer.
Each morning on Sixx Sense, Sixx will discuss music and lifestyle topics as he gives listeners an exclusive look at the world and mind of a rock star. Joined by co-host Kerri Kasem, Sixx will provide his unique perspective and attitude as the duo welcomes celebrity guests, recording artists and fascinating characters from all walks of life.
“Bringing Sixx Sense to mornings has always been our goal,” said Sixx. “Who better to start your morning with than a rock star and a hot chick? It’s a dream come true to have a morning show on one of America’s best rock stations.”
“Listeners can kick-off the day with Nikki, the proven professional, hugely successful, rocking personality,” said Kelly Kibler, President and Market Manager, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Dallas. “Changing the station’s line-up is the logical choice and I look forward to the opportunities the new line-up will bring to our advertisers and listeners.”
