Anti-teen pink lights designed to make kids ashamed of appearance

When I was a teen, there were points where I didn't need a special light to be ashamed of my appearance, but this post isn't about me. It's about the British government's attempts to shame teenagers from loitering using a pink light:

The new tool is a pink overhead light designed to exaggerate acne, with the intention of making children so unhappy and insecure about their appearances that they go somewhere else. READ MORE

It's a high tech solution to a classic problem. Who knows if it really works? They are also using that high pitched noise that only teens can hear.
