This postcard is of Houston's Esperson building at night. I don't know the year, just know all of the material on the Penny Postcard Archives by the A USGenWeb Archives is old. Why are they called penny postcards? I thought you would never ask. According to the site:
These postcards cost 1¢ to mail. Postage was temporarily raised to 2¢ from 1917 to 1919 to cover the cost of World War I & from 2925 to 1928 (not sure the reason for the latter).
I see. Check out all of the other Houston cards including one of the famous Shamrock Hotel.
