Jessica Savitch, God rest her soul, was a popular reporter in Houston. Then she hit the big time in New York with NBC News.Here is a clip someone at NBC saved for us and threw up on YouTube. Jessica is upset with her crew. I can relate. Murdock and I were both 19 years old when we started working studio camera at KXXV Channel 25 in Waco. We were the guys that the anchors yelled at. Maybe it was our fault, maybe it wasn't. But no matter what they might try to tell you, we didn't take the Kavorous discs.
