CBS Radio smooth jazz KHJZ/Houston will flip to CHR as "Hot 95.7" in the next few days. The new station logo appeared on the CBS Web server on Wednesday (March 12); anonymous registrations of the domain names Hot957FM.com and HotHits957.com figure into the equation as well.

As you might imagine from reading this blog, I was never a smooth jazz fan, but do we need another top 40 station in Houston? I knew one thing, CBS wouldn't flip 95.7 KHJZ to rock. That's the forgotten stepchild of terrestrial radio!
