Remember Z-Rock? It was on at 1070 AM and 106.9 FM in Houston at points during the 80s and 90s. I never could pick it up clearly, but I still listened.
Z-Rock was a national rock/heavy metal network that played on local stations across the country. The DJs were good and the music heavy. I remember it sounding more produced than most local radio.
Well, some enterprising person has put air checks up from the network. Even better, they have an emulator that plays clips from actual shows and mixes them with Z-Rock music. It's as good as we're gonna get folks.
GO LISTEN
I brought this up in the past that Rock 101 KLOL employees should be doing this. There are people in Houston and beyond that would listen to that dead heritage Houston station.
