Some tax payers might have hard time with certain tax deductions for 2006

Just when you thought doing your taxes was hard enough - we get this:
Filing your taxes can be tough, but this year, even if you follow the instructions, you may miss some big deductions.

That's because the booklets and instructions were printed before some deductions became law. The problem this year is that you will not find the instructions you need in the tax forms to take several thousand dollars off of your tax burden, this includes the sales tax deduction which is a big one.

[snip]

This year, even the savviest of tax filers may have an extremely difficult time taking the deductions they have coming. That's because if you itemize and follow the instructions with form 1040, you will not find any mention for how to deduct sales tax, tuition, or classroom expenses for teachers.
Wouldn't you know it, Action 13's Jeff Ehling is on top of it and has the IRS links you need on the Consumer Blog. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
