I went down to the Rodeo Parade on Saturday morning to take some pictures. Thinking I could avoid the crowds and possibly slip out of there easier if I had to, I parked at the City Hall annex building. That parking lot was close to the parade's start at The Alley Theater without being too close.
Posted signs said you had to pay the new fancy high tech meters Monday through Saturday. I entered my credit card and paid the maximum $3 just in case. The next step was to get the ticket to put on my dash, but nothing came out of the machine.
Another person looking to park told me the building security said to pay the meter, but then he found out there as $6 parking at the building. No one was there to collect that money when we both arrived. The man told me, "Come on it's City Hall, they don't know there a-- from a hole in the ground."
What did I do? When the attendant showed up I paid the $6 because I did not want to be towed. That was a total of $9 for three hours on a Saturday morning.
Geesh...and I thought the red light cameras made a lot of money.
