Send automated Microsoft Outlook emails on your schedule

A friend of mine recently showed me this trick and I was smitten. If you use Microsoft Outlook, you can set the time and date you want to send an email. It's not hard to do either.

1. Open a new email

2. Click the 'Options' button

3. Check the box "do not deliver before:"

4. Select a date and time

5. To make sure it gets to the recipient, check the box that requests delivery or read receipt

Sure you can play jokes or trick people with this function, but I find it useful to get a message to someone at the right time so it will stick with them. For example, you can send someone a reminder right when they get to work at 9 am. That way the email is on the top and the first thing they see.
