Michael Garfield says Wes Hohenstein is outta here

None other than the High Tech Texan himself, Michael Garfield, wrote into the little old mikemcguff blog with some big news. What I posted here about Wes Hohenstein (former KPRC Channel 2 morning meteorologist) is now official says Garf:
Wes is a good friend of mine and golfing buddy so I have been privy to what he has been up to (or hasn't been up to) for the past several months. Despite all of the hub-bub going at at KPRC-TV with morning weather personnel Wes is not going back to his old stomping grounds. He has accepted a position at WNCN in Raleigh-Durham, NC, that will actually let him sleep in.
You can read more about what Wes Hohenstein has to say here.

So where is Byron Miranda going next?

UPDATE
NBC-17 hires new chief meteorologist from Houston:
WNCN-TV (NBC-17) has a new chief meteorologist to replace Janice Jones, who left the Raleigh television station in July.

Wes Hohenstein, who gives his age as "in my thirties," is scheduled to make his station debut Sept. 17, before and after the new "NBC Sunday Night Football."

Hohenstein joins the nightly news team for the 6, 7 and 11 p.m. broadcasts. Bill Reh will continue to do the morning weather.
