Fly over Houston in a biplane with Google Maps

Have fun flying over Houston in a biplane with Google Maps. I've started you off over 1000 Main which is the center of downtown Houston. It is also over the Danger Train. Google Maps satellite imagery is from a few years ago, so you will see the Light Rail and the Toyota Center under construction.

When you go to the site, just click "start" to begin flying through Houston. This will only work if you go through the link on my blog.

How did I do this? There is a site called Goggles that lets you fly over major cities around the world like New York and Tokyo (even Mars and the Moon). After a little "hack" I was able to choose Houston. You can do the same and start it from any point in the Bayou City.

If you are feeling mean spirited, you can also shoot bombs into the scenery and even crash the plane. But who would want to do that to Houston?

Clearly, people love it so much. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
