Metallica talks about new album with Rick Rubin

Metallica is in the studio and this time with a new producer - the legendary bearded-one, Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Slayer).

Hopefully this is a return to older Metallica albums like some of my favorites - Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets and And Justice for All.

Bob Rock, the man who helped sell-out Metallica according to some fans, is out. He's actually back with Motley Crue on their new album. That's good news. Rock was the driving force behind Dr. Feelgood.

Blabbermouth has more from Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield on working with Rubin.

I got the chance to interview Metallica once. However it was over satellite, but I still got to talk to them. I asked them what one of their favorite Houston memories was, they said the time they played the Bayou City and there was a surprise snow storm. I believe this was on the And Justice for All tour.

The satellite interview was early in the morning for them and before the interview they were all sitting there quietly, kind of bleary eyed - Lars was reading the Life section of USA Today. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
