A quick update to my gridlocked Galleria post. I heard that some parties in Downtown Houston were charging between $150-$200 to get in the door. That's on top of the costs after you got through the door.
Also heard that some of the celebrities paid to appear at the events only showed up for a short time in some cases.
The party life.
Overall it sounds like Houston came out pretty well from the experience. Except for the usual detractor. That's right Bill Simmons - it's you!
