To
prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:

will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for 5 years.

Telemarketers will call your cell phone at times. I've had it happen to me on my Sprint phone. But the above email is not real. Don't worry. I wrote about this same issue in Dec. 2004 when the same emails were going around only with a different date of this happening. Here is the story.
"The emails circulating are erroneous and false," says Jeff Fishburn who represents the very real Wireless411 Service.
The Wireless 411 Service is the unnamed cell directory
mentioned in the emails. But Fishburn says the email has it all wrong."The Wireless 411 Service is voluntary, consumers must choose to participate,"
Fishburn told abc13.com. "It will not be made into a list, it will not be made
into a phone book and it will not be on the Internet. Importantly, it will not
be sold or made available to third parties (telemarketers)."It won't cost anything to participate in the service and consumers will be able to change their minds if they don't want to be listed anymore.
If all this sounds like something you don't want to be involved in, Fishburn says don't do anything and you'll be left out; an important part the cell phone companies want customers to realize.
I did talk with the Wireless 411 service today and they said the email is still a hoax.
