Banjo Jones had a good post on blogging and how it can be hard to find topics to write about. He jokingly suggested dream blogging. I think he stumbled on to something here.
I had a dream the other night that I went back to high school. It was supposed to be my alma matter Lamar High School, but it looked very different. There was a Starbucks and other retailers all on the ground floor and it looked more like a mall than a school. I probably got this notion from when I went to cover a story at Pearland High School a few years ago and saw they had their own credit union.
Are we missing a big opportunity? Some students in Houston have a lot of spending money. Should there be permanent retailers inside high schools? Would they have enough business to stay open? Is this already going on?
