Jessica Kirk joined the StormTracker8 weather team at WRIC in June 2025, forecasting for Richmond and Central Virginia. Viewers can catch her weekday mornings on Good Morning Richmond and 8News at 9.
Before arriving in Richmond, Kirk served as the Evening Meteorologist for the NBC 23 KVEO Valley Storm Team, delivering forecasts at 4, 6:30, and 10 p.m. each weekday.
She began her broadcast career in the Rio Grande Valley at CBS 4 in June 2022 as a weekend meteorologist, where she also filled in during morning and evening newscasts.
A Florida State University grad, Kirk earned her degree in Meteorology with Honors in 2022, along with minors in Mathematics, Physics, and Communications.
Her fascination with weather began at an early age, influenced by her experiences growing up in multiple climates. Kirk moved 10 times before college due to her father’s military service.
