Meteorologist Rick Mitchell has been promoted to Chief Meteorologist at the NBC O&O KXAS in Dallas. Rick joined the station in 2012 and previously served as the Chief Meteorologist at KOCO in Oklahoma City.

News 88.7 KUHF executive producer of special projects Edel Howlin is moving to Philadelphia. Her husband is relocating for a new job. She hopes to continue in public media. She has been on the air in some form in Houston for around 10 years.
"I’ve had incredible opportunities at [Houston Public Media] and been so lucky to be here during this time of growth for them," Howlin told mikemcguff.com. "It was a really hard decision to leave the place though because I’ve loved working here every single day for the last seven years! But it’s a good time to move for our daughter, she’s only just started school."
