"Once again, thanks again for your many thoughts and prayers, as I'm coming down the home stretch of this cage match with lymphoma," Allen wrote. "All signs are pointing to lymphoma tapping out. Got great news late last week. I'm in total remission! In a few weeks I check into MD Anderson for a stem cell transplant. The type of lymphoma I had has a tendency to recur, but the transplant gives me a complete new immune system, which could likely be a complete cure."
Now that is a home run.
In Allen's absence, KHOU 11 brought in Pablo Alsina to fill-in. Allen announced his T-Cell Lymphoma diagnoses last summer.

But today, a nice normalcy returned to the KTRH studio.
Patrick told his audience about his esophageal cancer diagnoses last September.
