Houston learns about itself from the Marketplace team

Houston learned to love the numbers

Last night was the Marketplace® 25th Anniversary National Tour stop at the Wortham Center thanks to Houston Public Media.

Some stuff I learned about Houston from the Marketplace staff:

There are 22.4 engineers per 1000 employees in the Houston area - that's only second to Silicon Valley.

Marketplace reporter Adriene Hill says HISD is tops when it comes to student data privacy.

And chef Monica Pope told the audience she is ready for persimmons now.
