Saturday night at Cafe Adobe Marq*e Center, 20 year veteran KPRC 2 reporter Mary Benton said goodbye to a packed house of friends, Houston TV colleagues and competitors. There was even a surprise appearance by Houston rapper Bun B.

Benton announced she will be working as a public information officer for Harris County.

In early July, Benton announced she would be leaving channel 2 and TV. No doubt, she will be missed.
