From news director, reporter, sports anchor and lots of off air gigs, Houston TV has some big jobs to fill
I'm getting emails from people around the country concerning the open Wayne Dolcefino 13 Undercover gig recently vacated by one Brian Collister. While I don't have information on that, I can tell you there are lots of interesting TV gigs opening in television market 10.
So apply and get ready for a move to Houston. You know the old saying, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could!!!"
With this week's news that KPRC news director Deborah Collura is leaving for WCNC Charlotte, the NBC affiliate just posted that leadership role job opening.
Speaking of KPRC, the station is also on the hunt for a weekend sports anchor-reporter and a reporter.
It looks like the NBC affiliate is also increasing the size of its web department with a Digital News Editor (Web Editor) and Senior Web Editor job opening.
Other jobs open include Broadcast Maintenance Engineer, IT Director - Post-Newsweek Stations, Director for Auto Production Cntrl Room, Television News Video Editor, Producer - Special Projects and Photojournalist.
Over at KUHT 8, the jobs wanted sign says an Engineering Operations Supervisor, Creative Services Manager and Community Engagement Officer are wanted.
KHOU has openings for a Digital Sales Account Executive, Promotion Writer/Producer, Digital Content Producer, Photojournalist, Account Executive, Producer and Production Operator.
And it's not TV, but The Houston Press has an immediate opening for a managing editor.
To see all the latest Houston TV job openings, head on over to my TX TV jobs page where you can get more info on the jobs listed here and across Texas.
I had someone very high up in the Houston tech scene suggest I open a job posting board here.
And of course, if you see a job here and get it, then you have to let me know first. That's the rule.
