  1. All she needs to do after Fox 26 is work at KPRC and KHOU, and she will have worked at all the English TV news stations.

  2. Good for her. I never understood why ABC took her off the weekend anchor desk. She was great at it. The person they put in her place is terrible and hasn't gotten any better over time. I hope Katie does great!

  3. KTRK celebrates her departure. Sorry KRIV, should have done your homework, but then KTRK should have done their homework five long years ago.

Biggest mistake since KPRC hired C. Hunt

  4. I'm glad she is staying in Houston, when she left 13 it sounded like she was going to another city

  10. Kriv is not a good Tv station, I hope Katie is just doing this as a pit stop as Kriv is a pit I know, I use to work there.

    1. To: "I use to work there", KRIV is now a good TV station. They replaced you with someone who has a much better command of the English language. Some insiders like to take pleasure knocking KRIV. The fact is the product has improved and KRIV is beating KHOU in the mornings and gaining on KTRK.

    2. Well all I can say is, this. How many good people got let go at Kriv or forced out in the past 5 years? Go ask the average Joe on the street in Metro Houston. They don't watch Ch 26. I think you are drinking the Kool Aid. I really hope you are right and the blood letting has ended.

  11. There's not a non-compete? Usually it was a six-month wait "on the beach" before you could pick up a microphone at a competing station. When did that change -- or as previous posters alluded, it was an anything-to-get-her-out-the-door decision?

  12. Fox 26 hasn't been the same since Mike Barajas left, or was pushed out after 25 years with the station in 2011.
