Weatherman's bet with KHOU 11's Gene Norman did not cost his job

The Baltimore Sun's TV critic David Zurawik writes that WMAR weatherman Justin Berk's bet with KHOU 11 chief meteorologist Gene Norman did not cost him his job.

Let me start from the beginning now. TVSpy first wrote Friday how Berk and Norman made a bet about the Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans game. The website said the terms of the bet were Berk’s crab cakes against Norman’s barbecue sauce, which the loser must eat on the air in the opposing team’s gear.

Turns out that was the last day for Berk on air.

Zurawik blogs that the rumor for Berk's departure was the bet with Norman, but the station denied that. You can read more about Berk's dismissal here. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
