Houston news producer says 'adios' to the TV news world
After almost 14 years in the television news business, Houston producer Sara Boyles has left for the corporate world. She is now a communication and pursuits strategist for Ernst and Young as of Monday. So how was the first day?
"It is definitely a change of pace being in a more corporate setting," Boyles admitted to the mikemcguff.com blog. "I needed new clothes, as well as a new sleeping schedule. As a producer, I never would have started my first day in Houston and ended it in Chicago."
Yeah, probably not.
Boyles started at KBMT in Beaumont, followed by KMOL (now WOAI) in San Antonio, KTRK 13 (where I met her) and up until recently KHOU 11.
Her first year in the business she won an AP award for best newscast and in her last year, she once again won the same. Nice way to go out. Congrats Sara! CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
