After owning the beat for Houston news stations adding 4:30am newscasts, I feel it is my duty to notify you we have a newscast addition more than 12 hours later too.Sources inside KIAH Channel 39 tell me the station is getting a 5pm and 5:30pm newscast this fall. I think that is great news. The more news competition, the better I say.
I just learned the station also announced the news through KIAH Vice-President/General Manager Roger Bare's Twitter account! Now that is a Web 2.0 station!
It is all amazing to me, especially after the news of Tribune's financial troubles.
