Julia Kwedi left her KRIS 6 meteorologist position in September 2025 for WBIR Channel 10 Knoxville, Tennessee.

"This DMV girl is staying in the South — and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I’m honored to share that I’ll be joining WBIR Channel 10 in Knoxville, Tennessee as their newest Meteorologist.
I’ll be working alongside an incredibly talented weather team whose dedication to East Tennessee is nothing short of inspiring with their commitment to clarity and accuracy."
A graduate of Salisbury University with a degree in Atmospheric Science and Broadcast Journalism, Kwedi previously worked at NBC News Washington as the assistant to the Bureau Chief and Deputy Bureau Chief.
