Jordan Chavez signed off from 9NEWS Mornings on KUSA Denver, Friday, December 9, 2026, after nine years with the TEGNA station.
Chavez is not the only 9NEWS Mornings talent leaving. Entertainment and traffic anchor Erica Lopez recently left for WFAA 8 Dallas-Fort Worth.
"I didn't just somehow survive a 2:30 a.m. alarm for the past several years," Chaves said on-air during his last day. "I was actually excited to get out of bed and be here with y'all every day."
The station says Chavez is leaving the TV news biz.
Before joining KUSA in March 2017, the Texas State University graduate worked as a weekend anchor at KAMR Local 4 in Amarillo.
