Michael Autovino is back at the CBS News Texas KTVT Dallas-Fort Worth studio as its new morning meteorologist, starting November 24, 2025, from Spectrum News NY1.
I write "back" since Autovino just left the building in 2023 for NYC, where he was working for CBS Now, which broadcast to CBS-owned television stations across the country from Dallas-Fort Worth.
Now he will get to work in the new KTVT Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) technology-driven studio.
Autovino takes over for Brittany Rainey, who has been handling duties since Scott Padgett headed to New York City.
Before his first DFW time, Autovino worked at WATE 6 On Your Side in Knoxville, Tennessee, and KPVI 6 in Pocatello, Idaho, as a morning meteorologist/multimedia journalist (MMJ).
A Rutgers University graduate with a degree in meteorology, Autovino interned at WNBC New York and News 12 The Bronx/Brooklyn.
