Many concerned KPRC 2 Houston morning news viewers have written to me about the whereabouts of AM anchor Owen Conflenti.
UPDATE FROM CONFLENTI ADDED (see video below):
"I didn't mention it beforehand, but, uh, I recently had surgery to repair a hernia.
That's why I've been home resting, recovering, kind of laying low. But everything's been going well. I'm feeling a lot better.
The plan is to be back on the air with you October 13th. Monday, October 13th."
The messages say he has been gone for around three weeks.
One of the anchors filling in for Conflenti is evening anchor Daniella Guzman, who posted that he is on medical leave but will return soon.
