Caroline Vandergriff leaves CBS News Texas

Caroline Vandergriff announced today that she left her position as a reporter with CBS News Texas (CBS 11 KTVT) in Dallas-Fort Worth in August 2025.

Here is what Vandergriff posted on socials:

"Some personal news to report…

Several thousand stories later, my time at CBS News Texas has come to a close. For the past six years, it’s been a thrilling ride - fulfilling a lifelong goal of reporting the news in the community where I grew up. Whether covering the biggest issues in North Texas, chasing tornadoes, or holding back tears on air as the Rangers finally brought the World Series title home, it was a privilege I never took for granted.

I’m deeply grateful to my colleagues and to the community members who made this chapter so meaningful.

Telling stories has always been at the heart of who I am, and I’m excited to see where those skills take me next!"

Vandergriff joined CBS News Texas in September 2019.

She gave birth to a baby girl in 2022, already being a parent to twins.

She previously worked as a reporter for FOX 25 KOKH in Oklahoma City from 2017 to 2019.  Before that, she was a reporter for Spectrum News – Charlotte, North Carolina, and WILX News 10, Lansing, Michigan.

The University of Southern California grad earned degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. She is an Arlington native who graduated from Lamar High School, but her family has more ties to the Metroplex than that.

Caroline's father, Victor Vandergriff, is the Executive Director of the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition. Her grandfather, Tom Vandergriff, was a longtime mayor of Arlington, a U.S. Congressman, and a Tarrant County Judge.
