Rodeo Radio 92.9 HD2 Houston replaces the former Country Legends 97.1 KTHT and Country Legends 92.9 HD2, on popular sister station's 93Q Country KKBQ digital sub-channel.
“Seven decades of iconic country artists and songs all in one place," Travis Moon, Director of Operations for Radio-One Houston told mikemcguff.com. "From Patsy Montana to Alan Jackson, we created Houston’s Country Music Scrapbook. Hearing artists like Cowboy Copas, Pee Wee King, Sons of The Pioneers in the mix is extra special. So much fun to build such a robust playlist of Country music history."
Texas Radio Hall of Famer and sister station The Eagle 106.9/107.5 FM KGLK afternoon host, Scott Sparks, is the big voice you hear for the station's imaging. He is also the announcer for one of my favorite stations. Oldies 107.5 HD2!
While the Country Legends name rides off into the sunset, Rodeo Radio is dialing country’s greatest hits, from the 1940s now with more emphasis on the 1980s and 1990s, and promising a special nod to our city's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo tradition.
With the rebrand, countrylegends.com is now on RodeoRadioHouston.com, and the Country Legends app will soon sport the new Rodeo Radio branding. You can also find Rodeo Radio on the iHeart and TuneIn apps.
