Daji Aswad is engaged, but the gift keeps on giving as her fiancé, Fenton, proposed on her birthday.
And it appears the birthday party was turned into a surprise engagement one.
KPRC 2 reports that its weekend meteorologist met Fenton, a native Houstonian who has served in the Houston Fire Department for over two decades, at the grocery store. The couple has already visited five countries in under a year.
Aswad returned to her hometown of Houston in 2023 to join KPRC.
The University of the Incarnate Word graduate previously worked at WISN 12 Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she served as a weekend evening meteorologist and reporter. Before that, she worked for AccuWeather.
