Lauren Bostwick announced she has officially joined the CBS News Texas KTVT Dallas-Fort Worth weather department as a weekend morning meteorologist.
Bostwick started with the First Alert Weather Team as a fill-in meteorologist back in 2024, returning recently in March 2025.
Since then, CBS News Texas chief meteorologist Scott Padgett has left, and new hire McKenna King has been promoted to the chief position.
From November 2021 to October 2023, Bostwick served as a meteorologist at WeatherNation TV in Denver, CO, where she educated and informed over 30 million viewers nationwide about current and future weather events.
Before WeatherNation, Bostwick was the CBS 7 KOSA Odessa Weekend Meteorologist and MMJ from May 2020 to October 2021.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Texas A&M University (2017–2020), where she interned at KBTX Bryan from February 2020 to May 2020.
