Shannon Miller is leaving her morning anchor/investigative reporter role with NBC Connecticut WVIT to join Texas sister station NBC 5 KXAS Dallas-Fort Worth, where she will be a reporter, according to the NWT Group.
Miller, originally from the DFW Metroplex, has earned an Edward R. Murrow Award and an Emmy Award for both her anchoring and investigative reporting. Her reporting has even reached a national audience through her contributions to Dateline.
Before joining NBC Connecticut, Miller served as an Anchor and investigative Reporter at FOX61 KARK Little Rock, Arkansas, from 2014 to 2017.
From 2011 to 2014, Miller was a morning anchor/Investigative Reporter for KOLR Springfield, Missouri.
Her broadcasting journey began in 2009 at KNWA FOX24 Fayetteville, Arkansas, where she worked as an investigative reporter and fill-in anchor.
Miller graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma, where she earned her journalism degree. There, she interned with CBS Sunday Morning and reported for ESPNU. She was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
