Dominique Sachse announced Sunday evening that she is leaving Dr. Phil McGraw's Merit Street Media located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
"I have sincerely enjoyed my time at MeritTV and working with all the wonderfully talented people there. It's been an honor to be part of a startup network from its inception. However, my heart is telling me it's time to pivot.
With this in mind, I am stepping away from MeritTV. I'm thrilled to return to full-time content creation and entrepreneurship, dedicating my energy to empowering and uplifting incredible women who have been so supportive of me and our shared goals. Here's to what's next!"
"My darling, I know firsthand the thought and prayer you put into this decision," Sachse's husband Vic Mignogna commented on the Instagram post. "Certainly not an easy one, but certainly the right one for you. I hope everyone sees the integrity and strength of character that I see in you. I adore you."
In August, Merit Street Media laid off, from what I was told, 40 to 60 staffers.
Sachse and co-anchor Fanchon Stinger helped launch the network in April 2024 with "Morning on Merit Street." Her former KPRC 2 Houston co-anchor Kris Gutierrez was also with Merit from the start and anchors the evening newscast "The News on Merit Street."
