Larissa Cartwright has decided to leave her role as news director for Spectrum News 1 Texas mikemcguff.com has learned.
No permanent replacement has been announced.
Based in Austin, Cartwright oversaw the strategic planning, creation, and local execution of news programming and storytelling for Spectrum’s networks across Texas.
Before Spectrum, Cartwright served as Executive Producer and Content Marketing Strategist for KXAN Austin.
Prior to KXAN, she was the director of digital media at WHAM 13 Rochester, New York, for a Year.
Cartwright was also in Dallas for five years with Tribune Broadcasting, holding various positions, including Director of Content, and helped launch a national morning show.
She started her career as a producer for KVUE Austin.
University of Texas at Austin grad is an EMMY Award-winner.
