Sean Kelly left the KXAN Austin and CW Austin Morning weather department in January 2024 for KUTV 2 Salt Lake City.
KUTV tells me that Kelly will be its meteorologist for the 4pm newscast, 5:30pm 2 New Live streaming newscast, 7pm Gen Z news show ARC Salt Lake and KJZZ 14 9pm newscast.
"We are very excited to have Sean join our First Alert Weather team to help provide Utahns with the weather they need on their phones, tablets, and TVs," news director Mike Friedrich told mikemcguff.com.
Kelly joined KXAN in 2018 from KIII 3 News Corpus Christi, where he worked for three years.
The Rutgers School of Biological and Environmental Sciences grad interned with News 12 New Jersey.
