Luke Jones joins abc13 KTRK Houston as a reporter in January 2024.
"I haven’t lived in Houston full-time in years," Jones posted on Facebook. "Those who know me know that working in my hometown has always been a goal of mine. And now that dream is finally a reality."
The native Houstonian comes from WKRC Local 12 Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was the station's 10 and 11pm reporter.
He previously worked as a reporter for WREG 3 Memphis, Tennessee, and Local News 8 KIFI Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The Houston Community College and Boston University grad interned with KPRC 2.
Houstonians might also recognize Jones' voice from his time as a General Assignment/Environmental Reporter and later Fill-In Traffic/Weather Anchor for 90.1 KPFT Pacifica back when it was on Lovett Boulevard in Montrose.
While in Boston, the dual citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom also worked for the Neighborhood Network News.
