Amelia Mugavero joined CBS 11 News Texas Dallas - Fort Worth as a reporter in December 2023.
Here is what Mugavero wrote on Facebook:
"I’m beyond excited to announce I am coming back to my hometown of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas and joining the amazing team at CBS News Texas as a reporter!
I grew up watching CBS 11, so this station had a large part in me choosing journalism as my career.
Therefore, this is truly a dream come true — not only be able to work and share stories in the DFW area, but also be close to my family.
I also have to give all the glory to God for His perfect timing and leading me to this moment."
Mugavero returns to North Texas from FOX 2 News KTVI St. Louis, Missouri where she was a mid-day anchor/morning traffic anchor/reporter.
She previously was a reporter/MMJ/anchor for KOTV Tulsa, Oklahoma and KTEN 10 Denison, Texas.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign interned with FOX 4 KDFW, WCCU and WCIA 3 which are both in Champaign, Illinois.
