FOX 7 KTBC Austin as a "Good Day Austin" reporter Kelly Saberi has joined FOX Business Network (FBN) as a Chicago-based correspondent.
Here is what Saberi posted on Instagram when she left Austin TV:
"It is with a full heart and belly full of breakfast tacos that I say my time at FOX 7 Austin is coming to an end.
I am lucky to have been blessed with Austin and central Texas as my next stop along this journey — and will cherish the friends I’ve made who make it so hard to leave, both inside and outside of Good Day Austin, for life.
Now, to squeeze in another Lake Travis day while getting packed up. I love you so much, Austin."
She will replace the now Washington-based correspondent Grady Trimble starting in late November 2023.
Saberi joined FOX 7 Austin in 2021 from KSNT Topeka, Kansas where she was a weekend evening anchor, producer and multimedia journalist.
A graduate of the University of Miami, Saberi is fluent in Farsi. She started in the TV biz as a FOX News Media college associate in the summer of 2017 working on "The Story with Martha MacCallum."
