Lili Zheng announced she's leaving her reporting position for NBC 5 KXAS Dallas - Fort Worth. UPDATE: She later revealed she will report for FOX 5 DC WTTG Washington, D.C.
Here is a portion of Zheng's announcement on X:
"Nine years in the news industry and three stations later, I'm still never quite ready to say goodbye on the last day.
After four years, today is my last day with NBC 5. I have accepted a job closer to home, which I'll announce at a later day."
All I can say is that Zheng is an East Coast native. Any guesses?
Zheng has been with KXAS since August 2019.
She previously was a reporter for KFOR Oklahoma's News 4 and began her career with 47 ABC WMDT Salisbury, Maryland as a Weekend Anchor/Senior Reporter/Producer.
The Temple University grad and master's degree earner in political science from Virginia Tech interned with WCBS New York and FOX 29 WTXF Philadelphia. As a college senior, she worked for ABC News' "Nightline."
