Abigail Velez joined CBS Austin KEYE in August 2023 as a morning reporter/MMJ.
"Huge thanks to everyone that helped me get here— storytelling in the Capitol City is a huge honor and I can’t wait to get started," Velez posted.
Velez returns to Texas from WNCT 9 Greenville, North Carolina where she has been a multimedia journalist since January 2023.
The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio grad reported/anchored for student-run UIWtv, worked for the school radio and wrote for student newspaper The Logos.
Before leaving for WNCT, Velez served as Miss San Antonio USA.
