Phil Prazan joined NBC 5 KXAS Dallas - Fort Worth in July 2023 as its policy, politics and government reporter.
In addition to reporting, Prazan will serve as a "Lone Star Politics" co-anchor which airs Sundays at 8:30am.
He appears to be the replacement for Julie Fine who left in May 2023 to be Blomberg's Texas Bureau Chief.
Prazan comes from NBC sister-station WTVJ 6 Miami where he was an investigative reporter since February 2020.
Austin television viewers may remember Prazan from his days as KXAN's political/investigative reporter.
The award-winning reporter got his TV start with Local 5 WOI Ames, Iowa.
A University of Texas at Austin grad, Prazan began his career as a researcher for a small documentary production company based in Venice Beach, California.
