Hottle comes from KRHD Bryan-College Station, now called 15ABC as of April 2023, where he was the evening anchor.
Before that, he was a weekend morning anchor for The E.W. Scripps Company sister-station 25 News KXXV Waco-Temple-Killeen. He started at the Waco station as a weekend forecaster and multimedia journalist (MMJ).
The West Texas A&M University grad started his career with KMVT News 11 and KSVT FOX 14 Twin Falls, Idaho where he was a reporter/weekend weathercaster.
