Here is a portion of what Jones posted on social:
"This new chapter brings me closer to those I love most, my family. Dallas, Fort Worth holds so many happy memories for us and I can’t wait to share many more.
I want to thank everyone who has ever let me share their story so far in my career. I hope I was able to tell it with empathy and fairness.
North Texas, I can’t wait to get started and share YOUR stories with the #1 station in DFW!"
Jones comes to FOX 4 from FOX owned sister-station FOX 6 WITI Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she was a fill-in anchor/reporter since October 2020.
She previously worked as a morning news reporter for NBC 15 WMTV Madison, Wisconsin.
Now in all of my years of writing this blog, I don't remember this next job title, but Jones was a "Mock News Anchor" for TMJ4 WTMJ Milwaukee, Wisconsin. No jokes about how this is no different from real anchors! Apparently this job helped train new technical directors. What a great job! No ratings pressures!
The Marquette University grad worked as an investigative reporter for Wisconsin Public Television while in school and interned with KARE 11 Minneapolis, Minnesota plus Milwaukee stations WDJT CBS 58 and Fox 6 News (where she ended up working).
