KXAN Austin's signal was back where it belonged on channel 36.1 as of April 19, 2023 thanks to repairs.
The NBC affiliate's transmitter was damaged back in early February during the bad Austin ice storms.
Since then, Austin over-the-air (OTA) television viewers had to watch KXAN on Nexstar Media Group sister-station channel 54.4 KNVA.
Austin TV watchers may need to rescan their televisions to properly receive KXAN on channel 36.1 chief meteorologist David Yeomans advised in this video.
